And so does mine, lol. I just attended a great webinar conducted by a guy named James Wedmore, where I took the following notes which I want to share with you right away. Look for me to begin implementing these ideas. Let me know if you do, too! Below are – quite literally – my notes from the last hour and a half.

Have an INTENTION behind any video Why?

  • To Share your message with the world.
  • Get videos to work for you to generate traffic leads and SALES.
  • You’re helping people by providing true value.
  • Step up and become THE authority in your marketplace – if you don’t do it someone else will.

1. Visual StorySelling Video (Connects to 3)

  • Enroll others in the WJY behind what you do.
  • Build your list and attract a community

“People don’t buy what you do – they buy why you do it.” Simon Sinek (TED talk and book “Start with Why”) This will get people on board with your Mission. It’s like an “About Me” page but so much better! Create an interview style conversational video. Don’t have to look at the camera – you’re looking at the interviewer.

The script: 

Using an outline

a. Intro

“Hi, I’m _________, the creator of ____________ and I help (Target audience  – person) who are (specific pain, need, want, overweight, lonely, sad, depressed, etc) get (Specific Benefit).”

b. Questions

  • “Who are you?”
  • “What makes you unique?”
  • What is the biggest frustration?
  • Why are you so passionate about what you do?
  • What is the biggest myth people have about your industry?

c. Call to action

Help audience understand: what, why and how to respond to what you just said!

  • Tell them WHAT to do
  • Tell them WHY to do it
  • Tell them HOW to do it.

2. Traffic Generating Video (Connects to 3)

  • To drive targeted and HAPPY traffic to your blog, site or store
  • – 18-34 55% of their viewing is youtube – youtube is #1 – global brands are investing more and more in their youtube presence. Google own youtube – and video from youtube rank high in searches

3. Irresistible Offer Video (connects to 4)  should be the “Squeeze Page” the opt-in page

  • Create trust and authority
  • Provide Incredible value to your subscribers and you do it for free – create something so good you could easily charge for it – then give it away for FREE.

BE SURE TO BE BUILDING A MAILING LIST – so you can reach back out to people who want to hear form you! “Download my free video.” Video doubles the amount of time people spend on your site.

4. The “Call to Arms Video” – Connects to 5 – The THANK YOU Page 

  • Tells people what to do – it’s the call to action
  • Convert the viewer to become a subscriber – squeeze page, lead capture page.
  • Landing pages with video on them can convert up to 80TIMEs better than a static page

Think about your answers to these:

  1. Who am I?
  2. What do I got for ya?
  3. What will it do for ya?
  4. How do you get it?

5. The Customer Attracting Video The Irresistible Offer Video (End page) Connects to the SALES PAGE

convert your Subscribers into Happy Customers

  • Your chances of turning a prospect into a customer are 40% better.
  • You can increase engagement up to 22%

Why do people buy?

Ask people!!! Why do people trust you? Why did they convert from a prospect into a customer?   Some typical responses:

  • “You displayed a real passion.”
  • “You are making a difference in the world.”
  • “You seem to be an expert.”
  • “I connected with your energy.”
  • “You seem approachable.”
  • “You give me value without wasting my time”

People will buy because they need to get rid of a problem – they are buying a solution. That said, people will buy from YOU over anyone else simply because of the relationship they have with YOU.

Learn BASIC editing for quick videos. You can outsource the editing. Locally or overseas. Screenflow, iMovie…..what you have.

  • Images and/or extra images to overlay the “interview”

  1. Upload to Youtube
  2. Make it our Youtube trailer video
  3. Embed in your About Me Page
  4. Add to your email signature
  5. add it to your email follow up
  6. upload to facebook – add as a tab on your fan page
  7. Run Youtube Video ads
  8. Ask viewers to share, tweet and post your video

Case Study:

Check out Rick Mulready ( who used this method to sell his workshop for facebook ads. – an interface to create a site to house your videos.
